Sydney Pilot
Guests and hosts share a few details so the first tables feel thoughtful, safe, and human.
Compatibility considers location, food needs, Shabbat style, life stage, interests, language and atmosphere.
The goal is not just a meal. It is belonging, friendship, and a doorway into Jewish community.
Community Activity
Every Shabbat table has room for one more.
Our first hosts and guests are already helping Mishpacha become a real Shabbat community.
Sydney Pilot
Help create a more connected Jewish community, one Shabbat table at a time.
We’re bringing together Sydney’s first community of hosts and guests who believe that meaningful connections begin around the Shabbat table.
Every shared meal, every introduction and every new friendship will help shape Mishpacha from the very beginning.
We’d love you to help build it with us.
Version 2026-07-26
By joining Mishpacha, I agree to help create a welcoming, respectful and safe community.
I will treat every guest and host with kindness and respect, communicate promptly if my plans change, and respect the privacy and boundaries of the people I meet.
I understand that Mishpacha facilitates introductions, and that hosts and guests remain responsible for their own safety, communication and arrangements.

Mishpacha is a Shabbat hosting pilot operated by Rabbi On Demand to help guests and hosts in Sydney make thoughtful Shabbat meal introductions.
We collect information you choose to provide through guest forms, host forms, compatibility profiles, enquiry forms and related communication. This may include contact details, suburb or general location, dietary needs, Shabbat preferences, hosting details, household context, notes and internal review status.
Some information, including dietary needs, religious practice, household details or Shabbat preferences, may be personal or sensitive in nature. By submitting it, you consent to us using it for the pilot purposes described here.
We use your information to review applications, respond to enquiries, consider potential compatibility, communicate about possible introductions, coordinate Shabbat meals where both sides are comfortable, improve the MVP and keep basic operational records.
We do not sell your personal information.
Mishpacha is manually reviewed. Submitting a form does not guarantee a match. We only share the information needed to help a guest and host decide whether they are comfortable moving forward.
We may use trusted providers for hosting, database storage, email delivery and MVP operations. These providers may process personal information only as needed to support Mishpacha and Rabbi On Demand.
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. We keep information for as long as needed to review applications, manage introductions, respond to enquiries, operate the pilot and maintain reasonable records.
You may request access to, correction of or deletion of personal information we hold about you. We may need to verify your identity and may retain limited information where legal, safety or administrative reasons require it.
Mishpacha is intended for adults. If information about children is submitted as part of household detail, it should only be provided by a parent, guardian or responsible adult. Mishpacha is focused on Sydney, Australia, and information may be processed in Australia or by providers in other countries.
For privacy questions, corrections or deletion requests, contact rabbi@rabbiondemand.com.au.

These Terms of Use apply to the Mishpacha Shabbat Hosting website and MVP pilot. By using the website, submitting an application or enquiry, or participating in the pilot, you agree to these terms.
Mishpacha helps collect guest and host information, review potential compatibility and support personal introductions for Shabbat meals. It is not a public dinner marketplace, booking platform, payment platform, transport service, emergency service or guarantee of a match.
You should only use Mishpacha if you are at least 18 years old and able to provide accurate information. If you provide information about household members, children, guests or other people, you confirm that you have the right to do so.
Submitting a form does not guarantee acceptance into the pilot, a guest or host recommendation, a confirmed Shabbat meal, or any particular date, location, style of meal or participant.
You agree to provide truthful and current information, communicate respectfully, disclose relevant dietary, allergy, access or safety needs, make your own judgment before attending or hosting, and follow agreed arrangements once an introduction is confirmed.
Hosts are responsible for the meal, home environment and hospitality they offer. Guests are responsible for their own conduct, travel decisions and personal belongings.
Mishpacha aims to support thoughtful introductions, but it cannot control every aspect of an in-person meal or private home environment. You should only proceed if you feel comfortable, and you may ask questions, decline an introduction or withdraw from the pilot at any time. For emergencies, contact local emergency services.
You agree not to submit anything false, misleading, unlawful, abusive, discriminatory, threatening or invasive of another person's privacy. You give Mishpacha and Rabbi On Demand permission to use submitted information to review applications, respond to enquiries, consider introductions and operate the pilot.
The website is provided on an MVP basis and may change, pause or become unavailable without notice. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mishpacha and Rabbi On Demand are not liable for issues arising from private arrangements between participants.
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, where permitted by law.
For questions about these terms or participation in Mishpacha, contact rabbi@rabbiondemand.com.au.
